What would you say if you saw a man chasing the wind? Where I come from, people will probably call him a madman because it’s impossible to catch the wind.
How about a man trying to catch his shadow? You’ll probably say he has the same condition as the first man, I presume.

Ironically, many people suffer the same condition as both men. Even used to suffer from the same condition. But I’m not talking about chasing the wind or trying to catch a shadow. What I’m talking about here is much more difficult than chasing the wind and catching a shadow.
What am I referring to?
Perfection! It is the state or quality of being perfect. The action or process of improving something until it is faultless.
But of course, nothing is perfect, as we all know. So, why then do you chase perfection?
Perfection is like a mirage on a desert highway; it appears alluring yet disappears as you approach. The more you strive for it, the more it moves far away from you.
By aiming for perfection it can lead you to:
Analysis paralysis: Overthinking and overanalyzing can prevent you from taking action.
Fear of failure: The pressure to achieve perfection can make you afraid of trying, fearing that your efforts won’t be good enough.
Procrastination: If you want perfection, you’ll likely wait for the “perfect” moment, idea, or circumstance, which can lead to missed opportunities and stagnation.
Perfection can never be achieved; it’ll likely lead to frustration, stagnation, or worse. Instead, what you should aim for is progression, no matter how little. Remember, brick by brick makes a mansion.
Take action: start small, move forward, even if it’s not perfect, and learn from your mistakes.
Learn and adapt: Test and improve your approach rather than getting stuck on an unattainable goal.
Celebrate progress: Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small.
Learn to aim for progress rather than perfection, for perfection is unattainable. As little drops of water make the ocean, celebrate your little progress, for that’s how you win.
Start your journey towards progress today by taking small steps towards your goals!
