How I Turn A Bad Day Around

I broke the law, early to bed, early to rise. On Monday night, I slept very late, which was unlike me. But I still manage to get up early on Tuesday morning—not the exact time I usually wake up, just a few minutes late. I was able to do only one thing in my morning routine, which was prayer. There was no time or mental energy for the remaining activities because I was still feeling sleepy.

I initially wanted to go back to sleep, but that would mean me losing a lot of time. I needed to begin my day because I had a lot of things to do. So, I pushed and dragged myself to begin the day.
I couldn’t write, read, or do anything creative, anything that would require lots of mental energy, so I went on TikTok to check out some informative content to get ideas. I did get some ideas, but I got bored quickly and lost focus. I decided to see a movie (Teen Wolf, I’ve seen it a couple of times actually) to keep me awake because I could still feel the effect of staying up late.
While on the movie, I got a reminder for a scheduled clarity call I had booked two days earlier with someone I met here on LinkedIn. I knew I was in no condition for this call and wanted to cancel (would have definitely regretted that), but I managed to get myself up from bed. I decided to take a walk. It helps clear my head; in this case, it’ll only help me for a few hours because I simply owe my body a debt of sleep and I need to pay it back.
I was on my way back home from my walk; it was time for the call to begin, and just as I was hoping for her to be a few minutes late, the call came in. I had no choice but to pick and begin. I was in transit; there was a little bit of noise in my background and the network was breaking from my end, so I asked to call her back in less than five minutes, which she agreed to.
When I got back home, which was less than five minutes. We began the clarity call, and in just a few minutes I began to gain clarity. Ideas that would have taken me days or probably weeks to figure out, I got them in just a few minutes. She gave me an extra five minutes to make up for the time we lost, which was kind of her.
The clarity call didn’t only give me clarity but also awakened most of my mental energy that was still asleep. All thanks to a clarity call that was orchestrated by multifaceted Chioma Arah. I truly appreciate the opportunity you gave me to be on the clarity call with you.
