Follow This New Approach to Get Over The Cycle of Dissapointment Achieve Your Goals
It's finally here!
The first day of the year. Many people have anticipated this day like it's going to miraculously change their lives. Sorry to burst your bubbles, but it's just another regular day.

Actually, it's not just another regular day, maybe to some people. But to others, it's a day to start over, to start afresh. If you fall under this category, then this is for you.
This week's theme is to set new intentions for the new year. What do I mean? It's pretty simple: if your goal is to start over, wouldn't it be beneficial if you began with a new mindset and intention?
Adam's Story
I'll keep this as short as possible. Let's hear a story from Adam.
“I've always wanted to do better; I know I'm capable of doing more, capable of achieving more. So at the beginning of every year, I create a new year's resolution. It usually contains everything I want to achieve for the year.
I'm always off to a great start; I feel unstoppable, but it only lasted for a few weeks. After that, I'm back to normal, regular Adam. I lose focus, and I lose track of what I've achieved.
However, going back to being unstoppable isn't usually easy, but always, I eventually find a way. Still, it doesn't last long. It's only a matter of time before I lose my drive again. And by the end of the year, I achieved far below what I had planned.”
The Struggle Is Real
Now that we've heard Adam's story. Can you relate to Adam's story? Does Adam's story sound familiar?
If your answer to both questions is yes! Then you are not alone. Many of us have been in Adam's situation, repeating the same cycle every year. The determination and high hopes and dreams, and the disappointment when we lose momentum and fall back into our old ways.
The Cycle Of Disappointment
Unless you happen to have a perfect life or you had it all figured out at a very young age, we've all been there. We've all been stocked in this cycle of disappointment. Setting ambitious goals, feeling pumped and motivated, ready to take on anything that comes your way, and then…life gets in the way. We lose focus, and before we know it, another year has passed and we are left wondering what could have been.
But The Question Is?
What went wrong? Is it a lack of motivation, poor time management, or a will not strong enough? What exactly could be holding you back? Whatever the reason is, one thing is clear: you need a new approach.
What Ifs…
What if you could break free from this cycle of disappointment and achieve your goals? What if you found a way to stay focused and see through all you want to achieve? What if you could go all the way, all year, and tick everything on your to-do list?
The New Approach To Achieve Your Goals
The first thing to do when you want to solve a problem is to identify the problem, which you've done. Now, you are ready for a change. You are ready to break free from the cycle of disappointment and achieve your goals.
The approach below will help you see it through:
Clarity: Clarify your goals and intentions for the year. Identify what you want to truly achieve and write them down.
Break down your goals into the tiniest simple tasks possible. (Make sure you won't feel overwhelmed when you look at this task on a weak day.) Break down your year into quarters and set goals for each quarter.
Create a daily routine for every single day of the week. Set a favorable time for every activity that will get you closer to your goals, and set time to take care of yourself as well.
Develop a growth mindset; acknowledge the fact that you are bound to meet obstacles in situations, in people, or in any possible way.
Build a supportive environment: Surround yourself with like-minded people and tools that will help you succeed.
Finally and most importantly, always take action and be consistent. Make sure you take a step further to your goals every day, no matter how little.
While following this approach, try as much as possible not to overthink, be a little bit delusional, and have faith in yourself.
With this approach, you'll be able to:
Remain focused on your goals.
Overcome self-doubt and procrastination.
Create positive habits and get rid of negative ones.
Achieve your goals.
This is not a magical approach that will miraculously change your life. You have to put in the work in order to see the results. While these steps won't be easy, it will make it easier if you follow through with it.
Don't be scared to take action; take action while being scared. Show up every day, no matter how little you can do. Remember, little drops make up the oceans. Little tasks every day will get you closer to your goals, and before you know it, your goals will be achieved.
